Former Nintendo vice president of marketing, Perrin Kaplan, has announced her return to video gaming by demanding that bad parents shouldnt reproduce.

Speaking at a panel on sex and violence in games at the Penny Arcade Expo (her appearance at which alone indicates her continued interest in the industry) Kaplan said, "I have not left the gaming industry for good. I love it."

Kaplan said at the panel, "Parents who use video games as a babysitter shouldn't have sex to begin with."

Kaplan left Nintendo last June along with other senior management apparently dissatisfied with relocation from Seattle to San Francisco and New York.

She has since set up her own company, Zebra Partners. Exactly what that company does is unclear, with its website carrying notification that it is "undergoing some changes". The one useful scrap of information it does carry is the legend, "Obsessed with Connecting Brands and Consumers". Given that and Kaplan's former role, some kind of marketing looks like a good bet for the nature of the company's activities.

Kaplan will reportedly bring games under her new company's umbrella when her non-compete clause with Nintendo ends in December.

Kudos to Kaplan, After years of dealing with these 'bad parents' from working in retail It's refreshing to see more people agree with me.

These same parents that have no time for their kids and use "TV, Video games, Movie, the Mall, etc" as their Free Babysitter service are not only negligent, but these are often the same people who dont pay any attention to What game, movie, etc that their kids are viewing, and then on the occasion they do and it's something they dont like they turn around and blame the Industry and the stores for allowing their kids to view such a thing.

These are also the same idiots that allow hate groups to get a foothold in politics that try to censor everything.

Grrrr I really hate these people.

I think that that is something really smart. Lazy parents are horrible. I also hate how some parents use video games to raise their kids...It's just so stupid. And agreeing with your comment, I absolutely hate parents that drop their kids off at the Rec. Center where I work...The same kids are there every day...24/7. I swear they live there...It's just so sad that parents dump their kids places, or dump them with video games to raise them.
