No this isnt the game that was posted on youtube back in January of this year by ZootFly.

Fact is the game was already being developed by Sierra secretly so ZootFly never had a chance.

Game Informer magazine has a great article on the real game, and it looks AWSOME. all the screen shots and graphics look great. and they got Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis writting the script.

Plus most of the cast has returned to reprise their roles vocally.
Bill Murray as Dr. Peter Venkman
Dan Aykroyd as Dr. Raymond Stantz
Harold Ramis as Dr. Egon Spengler
Ernie Hudson as Winston Zeddmore
Anne Potts as Janine Melnitz
and William Atherton as Walter Peck

At leasts thats who have been confirmed so far.
It would be very kewl if Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranis returned to voice Dana Barrett and Lousi Tully that would round out the core cast.

Dan Aykroyd says that this game is basically Ghostbusters 3. but better than a movie, its longer, has much more character depth, and its interactive.

all the "gadgets" are included as well as new items which you as the new recruit get to test out. Plus some of the game areas are well known to Ghostbuster fans, such as the Library where the ghostbusters finally get to track down and try and capture the "Librarian" ghost which was never captured in the first movie. Also you get to chase slimer through the hotel and the banquet hall also from the first movie. The Stay Puff marshmellow man also shows up in the game. BUT dont think this game is just a remake of the first movie. It actually takes place 2 years after the second movie, where now the Ghostbusters are well accepted by the public, and have been very busy so they now want to franchise, but they need the governments approval to start franchising. this is where "Walter Peck" comes in, he is the government official you have to convice to OK the franchise of the company.

I strongly urge anyone who is a Ghostbusters fan to get this issue of Game Informer to see the images and read the article. I cant wait for this game to come out.

Its going to be released on Xbox360 and PS3. So far its supposed to be just a 1 player game, but they havent ruled out multiplayer yet.

There is also going to be a more 'cartoon-style' version of the game released on Wii and PS2 Both of these are multiplayer games 1-4 player on Wii, and 1-2 player on PS2. I would love to play this on Wii, I can just picture using the Wiimote to aim and use the proton pack.
